Listen to The KLRC Drive-Home with Ansen & Kara each weekday from 3-7pm on KLRC. It's the most positive way to wrap up your day! Ansen & Kara love to laugh about made-up holidays, questionable fast-food menu items, and how little Ansen knows about fashion or how little Kara knows about sports. Ansen loves learning more about the nature of God and his relationship to us, and you can always count on Kara for an encouraging word or refreshing insight. You might also hear a thing or two about Ansen's kids and Kara's cats.
Ansen grew up in Topeka, Kansas before moving to Northwest Arkansas to attend college. He liked it so much, he's stuck around ever since! He's been hosting The Drive-Home on KLRC for over 17 years, and still loves missing out on driving in rush hour traffic each afternoon. Ansen is married to Dri, who serves as the family pastor at their church, and is the proud parent of three very lovely children and one very ornery dog. Ansen's hobbies include running marathons, producing music, and watching sports, including his beloved Kansas City Chiefs, K-State Wildcats, and IndyCar racing.
Kara grew up in a small town in Nebraska, but made the trek to Arkansas to get her degree in Broadcasting from John Brown University and to intern at KLRC as a student. Although she moved away for a couple of years after graduating, she was so excited when an opportunity opened for her to return and be a part of the KLRC team. Since 2012, she's had a blast co-hosting the Drive-Home with Ansen. She is married to Cody, and is a proud cat mom to two mostly adorable, and sometimes crazy, cats. Kara loves baking, curling up with a good book, camping with her husband, good conversation with friends over coffee, and some good dance therapy at Zumba class.
